Sometimes life of a mom involves volunteering and talking to a teenager. I always say that my children are my greatest teachers in life. Through them I had to learn how to be uncomfortable and be vulnerable. Through them I also learn to live my life.
My son’s friend was telling me about his big project and how he spent a lot of time worry about life. So I asked him if worrying helped? He said it didn’t and he spent a lot of time worrying about things, about school, about life. It is very impressive to me how a teenager was able to self reflect about his own thoughts and came up to the conclusion that perhaps he worries a bit too much. How many times have we stayed up too late to worry about a life event, how many times have we worried about a pending medical test result of a loved one, how many times have we spent time worrying about the worst scenario of a life event?
Worry less and live more,
